This could be the main roadblock preventing businesses from fully adopting the cloud

New research has revealed what could be the biggest reason why companies fail to go on the cloud fully.

Coalfire, the cybersecurity advisory and assessment services provider, has released its new Cloud Security Intelligence Report. Even though 90% of enterprises are using the cloud to some extent, the research revealed that 93% were extremely worried about any holes in the security around the cloud technology, which in turn preventing them from adopting the solution further.

The chief concerns were data loss and leakage as well as confidentiality breaches, which 64% and 63% stated as worry respectively.

“This report clearly indicates that organizations should regularly reassess their cloud security practices and re-evaluate whether their deployments are meeting their business objectives,” said Mark Carney, EVP of cybersecurity services at Coalfire. “Security strategies must be customized to cloud environments and optimized to ensure companies are extracting the benefits they set out to achieve in their cloud journeys.”
