C-Quence joins forces with Cytora to improve underwriting

Digital MGA C-Quence has joined forces with API platform Cytora to offer a new commercial property and casualty (P&C) underwriting service.

C-Quence is launching its P&C services in January 2020 and will leverage Cytora’s APIs to connect hundreds of property, location and other data attributes to each P&C submission to generate a clearer view of risks.

Brokers using C-Quence will benefit from fewer underwriting questions, quicker turnarounds with  quote to bind, handling referrals in minutes not days, early notification of any declinatures during quotation periods, lower cots and accurate terms and pricing on risks, it claims.

C-Quence CEO Jacqueline McNamee said, “This is a weighty partnership between two organisations that have a similar ambitious vision for the future of Commercial Insurance. Individually we are both making a difference.

“By combining our considerable capabilities, we are confident of accelerating long needed transformation in our industry, helping brokers to place risk more easily and providing a more efficient trading experience.”

Cytora, which is based in London, supplies insurers with APIs designed to improve their underwriting capabilities.

The company recently established a deal with insurance firm Convex, supplying the firm with its underwriting technology.
