Mitratech acquires ClusterSeven so it can offer an end-to-end data privacy solution

The legal and compliance software builder has acquired ClusterSeven so it can offer an end-to-end solution suite for easing data privacy and information governance efforts.

Mitratech offers a compliance suite which enables GRC professionals to meet obligations of regulations including SOX, MiFID II, GDPR, Volker and more. To ease compliance burdens, the company offers management tools for policy, risk, incident, compliance, and enterprise control.

By adding ClusterSeven’s technology to its existing solutions, it hopes to offer a variety of tools to ensure data privacy, boosting information governance and improving regulatory oversight.

ClusterSeven is a UK-based company which helps manage and monitor “shadow IT”, which includes the hidden, sensitive End User Computer (EUC) applications, spreadsheets, data assets and other applications that lie outside of IT’s control. Users can leverage ClusterSeven to identify, track, audit, inventory and manage risk.

With the addition of these tools Mitratech clients can translate obligations quickly into procedures they can create, review, communicate and capture. GRC team will also be able to better manage their obligations.

Other new tools include the ability to collate, manage and mine data and embed policy and information governance best practices.

Mitratech CEO Mike Williams said, “With this acquisition, we’re able to offer our clients the most comprehensive and truly end-to-end suite of solutions available today in the risk and compliance management segment.

“No other provider has this breadth and depth of a product portfolio. And no one else has a team behind its products that’s anywhere near as experienced, capable, and committed to client success as the one we’ve assembled.”
