Foxquilt continues Canadian expansion efforts

Foxquilt, which builds communities to improve insurance experiences, has released its services in more Canadian states as part of its 2020 expansion plan.

The InsurTech is launching operations in Alberta and British Colombia later this month. This move towards the western provinces comes after Foxquilt has established a strong client base in Ontario.

Backed by a data and machine learning underwriting infrastructure, Foxquilt helps customers find the best home, auto and business insurance at the lowest price. The platform brings people together into communities so they can access group savings.

Foxquilt co-founder Mark Morissette says, of “After a strong start in Ontario this past year, our team is looking to bring Foxquilt’s simple and tailored insurance solutions to Western Canada, beginning in Alberta and B.C.

“Our goal is to offer our innovative insurance products to more Canadian small business owners and consumers – all while bringing value through our group sharing model and our customized solutions.”

The InsurTech collected $1.3m in its seed round of funding, which it used to grow its team, platform and product.
