Union Bank of India is launching a mobile app designed to let customers control their credit card usage.

Powered by European payment service Wordline, the Ucontrol app enables users to upload card details to the app and manage their functionality, as well as receive alerts when they are used.

Union Bank of India hopes that the app will help to fight against card fraud by enabling users to block cards at any time.

In addition to enabling and disabling the cards functions, Ucontrol allows users to analyse their spending, as well as the personal spending of dependents like children.

“At Union Bank of India, we always strive to adopt and leverage technology to expand the reach of banking services to more customers and create a seamless, user-friendly and secure banking experience for them,” said the company’s chairman and managing director Shri Arun Tiwari.

“A personalised payment application like Ucontrol helps customers take charge of their card usage and Worldline, a transaction processing expert, is helping us build this solution for secure transactions.”
