London financial news and intelligence platform CityFALCON has hit its £150,000 crowdfunding target in less than a month.

The company attracted 120 investors to its campaign on equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs.

Investors in the round will each receive 3.65% equity in the startup.

CityFALCON uses machine learning and crowd curation to generate personalised financial news feeds for investors and traders.

The company brings in stories from news publications, research, influential investors’ social media activity as well as the crowd and uses algorithms to score articles to serve users the most-relevant to them.

The service is primarily focused on investors and traders but also aims to democratise access to financial news and data to help retail investors starting out in stock market investments.

CityFALCON will use the capital to expand its team including senior management, developers and data scientists.

The company is one of four London startups joining Octopus Labs, an accelerator launched last month by the Octopus Group.
