TravelBanks files $10m for employee expenses app

Employee travel expenses app TravelBank has raised $10m in its Series A round led by NEA.

Accel Partners also invested in the San Francisco-based startup.

The company predicts how much employees should spend on trips, helps them to file expenses and offers rewards for money saved.

Targeting small and medium sized businesses that are priced out of corporate expenses tools the service is currently free to use with plans to monetise the offering in future.

TravelBank co-founder Duke Chung previously started and sold customer services startup Parature to Microsoft for $100m.

The new funding will be spent primarily on marketing and sales.
