HR, benefits and compliance platform Flock has secured a $3.5m Series A equity round led by The Hartford, alongside participation from existing investors.

Flock offers onboarding, background checks, people management, benefits enrolment, payroll integration, and off-boarding to help HR and health insurance brokers simplify processes. The platform supports small-to-midsize employers by connecting insurance carriers, payroll providers, applicant tracking modules, and other processes throughout an employee’s time at a company.

This funding will help the company accelerate its market expansion and ongoing development of its HR and benefits administration platform.

Flock CEO and founder Raj Singh said, “The majority of employers in the U.S. have fewer than 500 employees and they continue to have complex, paper-intensive people processes. Flock’s mission is to eliminate paperwork for employers and provide real, data-backed insights on their workforce and insurance benefits through an integrated software solution.”

The Hartford is a property and casualty insurance provider, and also offers group benefit solutions and mutual funds.

Last month payroll platform Accelo closed a $9m Series A round led by Level Equity to help support its newly-launched platform. FlareHR also received a new funding round, bagging $7m from Reinventure Group to help with platform expansion.
