Finja closes $1.5m round led by Vostok Emerging Finance

Payment platform Finja has reportedly closed a $1.5m funding round led by Sweden-based Vostok Emerging Finance.

Other commitments to the capital injection came from Gray Mackenzie Engineering Services, according to an article by Propakitani.

Pakistan-based Finja is a free, frictionless and real-time payments solution, offering users access to digital transactions. The platform also offers a payroll system to help manage a company account management and organisation structure.

Finja also offers its SIMSIM wallet which users are able to transfer money to, in order to make online payments through the scanning of a QR codes from merchants.

This funding comes after the company raised $1m in a seed funding round last year, with Vostok also leading that investment. The capital from the previous round was used to help with the launch of its mobile wallet product.

Earlier this week Vostok made an investment into Brazil-based personal finance platform GuiaBolso, which secured $40m from the round.

Other companies in the firm portfolio include Brzilian accounting provider Nibo, Turkish payment solution Iyzico, and Brazilian loan broker FinanZero.
