Investment advise platform Fountain has reportedly received a seed round led by Day Cooper Day chairman Partick Day.

Contributions to the round came from Charlotte Street Capital and a group of angels which includes investors with backgrounds at Goldman Sachs, Societe Generale, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, according to an article by Finextra.

Fountain is a mobile platform with the aim to help investors meet their goals. The solution allows anyone to get involved with investing, offering personalised investment advice and setting milestones.

Chatbots and experts are available to support a user on making investments, which have a minimum size of ?10. Money is put into tax friendly products like ISAs, LISAs or SIPPs and then invested into a selection of stocks and bonds.

This equity injection will be used to invest in the technology, growth and further their efforts towards an FCA license, it said.

Last month,?data-driven investment platform Hatcher+ closed a funding round led by Mistletoe Group on $3.5m. The company uses machine learning and AI to identify the best opportunities from across the globe.

The institutional investing and trading sector was dominated by trading platforms receiving funding, with it seeing two thirds of the total capital. The sub-sector saw $1.6bn deployed into companies, with investment platforms receiving most of the remaining focus.
