AquaQ Analytics is collaborating with Danske Bank to help the bank automate several manual tasks to increase efficiency and save time.

The Ireland-based company is a data management, data analytics and data mining solution for the capital markets sector. AquaQ offers a range of consulting and software development solutions.

Through the partnership, AquaQ has provided the Northern Ireland bank’s risk team with an automated solution for daily data processing tasks. The company will continue to work alongside Danske Bank to further improve data projects.

Danske Bank head of data Marion Rybnikar said: “Our partnership with AquaQ has enabled our data intelligence team to fast track automation of manually intensive tasks, allowing our team to be innovative and focus on creating value for our customers. Automating these complicated, repetitive tasks lets our team concentrate on complex tasks that require greater analysis and interpretation.”

Last month, Ireland-based AI solution developer SBDA Group has secured n undisclosed Series A investment led by FinSight Ventures. The company helps retail banks to increase customer engagement and cross-selling in digital channels.

The European data and analytics sector saw a huge rise in funding last year, with the first three quarters seeing over seven-times more capital than the whole of 2016. This was largely due to the $114.9m raised in Q1 2017.
