InvestX launches fund, accepting crypto contributions

fintech-news

InvestX Master GP1 has launched a growth equity fund that will accept traditional and digital currency commitments.

The vehicle will be available to accredited investors in Canada, the US and internationally.

InvestX’s four-year fund will back companies with a valuation of at least $1bn, a growth rate of 40 per cent. Investors can contribute to the vehicle with digital currencies, by simply transferring tokens directly from their wallet to the InvestX wallet.

The firm sees this as an opportunity for digital currency investors to de-risk their portfolios by diversifying into pre-IPO companies.

InvestX is an online platform that enables accredited investors, family offices and institutional investors to make contributions to private equity deals and other investment opportunities.

InvestX founder and CEO Marcus New said, “Our aim is to provide access to additional investment opportunities for those with crypto holdings, while at the same time, providing these globally-minded investors with preferential access to positions in pre-IPO global companies.”

Earlier this week, Partech moved past the halfway mark fir its investment fund focused on the Africa market. The firm is looking to make investments in FinTech, InsurTech, EdTech, commerce and digital services.
