Mediware Information System acquires revenue management company MEDTranDirect

Healthcare revenue management company MEDTranDirect has been acquired by Mediware Information Systems.

The transaction was made to compliment Mediware revenue cycle management and Medicare claims capabilities for home care, as well as, improving administrative workflow.

Eventually, MEDTranDirect solutions will be integrated across Mediware software products, which span the care sector including home health, hospice, rehabilitation, home infusion, medication management and blood management, among others.

MEDTranDirect provides a streamlined SaaS-based solution for the submission and processing of claims to Medicare, a social insurance program administrated by the US government. The platform enables remittance transactions to boost cash flow and also supplies data analytics to help home health markets.

Mediware, which is a portfolio company of TPG Capital, builds software solutions for healthcare providers and payers. The company helps across a range of care services including blood banks, cancer treatment, and research facilities to help improve administrative tasks and manual processes.

TPG acquired Medware from private equity firm ThomaBravo. in late 2016. The firm has been very active this year, having completed a number of transactions in the FinTech space. Last week, the firm took part in the $45m Series B round in mobile banking solution Varo Money.
