Chalice Wealth Partners, a FinTech membership organisation for registered independent advisors (RIA) and wealth managers, has closed a $4.6m Series A.

The round was led by Uinta Investment Partners, and will see Uinta founder Gavin James serve on Chalice’s board of directors.

San Diego-based is a FinTech membership organisation for RIAs and wealth advisors which provides a fully integrated shared platform for products and services they need. Products available include tools for payroll, HR and benefits, investing, retirement and advising solutions.

Earlier in the month the company launched its financial network to provide financial advisors with shared-services technology platform which enables them to access all their technology and business services through a single sigh on.

Chalice Wealth Partners chairman and CEO Keith Gregg said, “Beyond monetary investment, Uinta is dedicated to our growth and has equipped Chalice to deliver what we think of as the ‘Holy Grail for Wealth Advisors’. With Uinta’s support, we are prepared to expand our membership organization of financial advisors, and in the meantime, transform the ways in which advisors do business.”

FinTech investment volume in North America increased by $3bn last year, compared to 2016, despite a decline in the number of deals, according to data by FinTech Global. There was $17.3bn invested across 625 deals, whereas, there was only $14.2bn deployed across 943 transactions in 2016.
