GCR acquires emergency grant management software MB3

GCR has acquired emergency grant management software MB3 Technologies, for an undisclosed amount.

This acquisition has been made to support GCR with its software solutions designed to improve public safety and disaster recovery.

Canada-based MB3 develops software for emergency grant management helping to provide US states with funds after an emergency. The company currently manages over $35bn and is used by 16 states in the US.

The service administers the whole grant process and stores all data and contacts in a single repository. Tracking of projects can also be completed through MB3 solution, helping to monitor deadlines and create quarterly reports.

Automated payments and grants are triggered whenever a project needs more funds or if money is requested for a specific reason. Transactions can then be complied into a payment for routing and processing.

GCR is an international professional services provider for government and commercial clients. The company was acquired by private equity firm Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company last year.

It solutions are used for elections, business registration, campaign finance, asset tracking and charity and fundraisers, among others.

Mike Foisy, HKW lead operations partner and chairman of GCR board of directors, said, ?The acquisition of MB3 is an exciting addition to the GCR suite of solutions that help state and local governments to become more efficient.

?This is our first add-on acquisition for GCR since they joined HKW in December 2017. We look forward to additional strategic add-ons to support the team and broaden their software-focused delivery model.p>
