Money Dashboard completes integration with Monzo

Personal finance app Money Dashboard has completed its integration with UK challenger bank Monzo.

The partnership was formed following a surge in demand for both services to collaborate. Following the integration, over 900,000 Monzo current account users will be able to gain a real-time view of their transactions, balances and savings. Users will also be able to use the Money Dashboard app to instantly set budgets and make plans for the future.

This service, which is available immediately, will let consumers connect their Monzo accounts to their Money Dashboard app. By doing so, they can set budget goals, track progress, and forecast projections to their saving goals.

Monzo CEO Tom Blomfield said ?Our goal is to give everyone more choice, convenience and control over their money. Making an API available opens up new opportunities for FinTechs, challenger banks and, most crucially, our customers.

?By giving people a safe, secure way to share their account information with other apps, APIs make exciting integrations like this one possible.p>

This partnership comes a month after Money Dashboard integrated its services with fellow UK challenger bank Starling. The partnership closely resembles the integration of Monzo and aims to provide consumers a view of their finances.

Money Dashboard offers users one place to manage their online financial accounts, with daily updates on transactions and balances. The app has bank-level security and gives an easy way to check what a user is spending money on with an option to categorise transactions.

The app also provides the user with information outlining their monthly incoming and outgoing finances, empowering users to see where their money is going.? A user can establish savings goals, which the app can track and suggest how much a user can spend each month and improved ways of budgeting.
