Click2Sure bags investment from Greenlight Re

South Africa-based InsurTech Click2Sure has received an investment from Greenlight Re Innovations.

Launched in 2017, Click2Sure is an online insurance platform which helps to integrate insurance products at the point-of-sale. Through its API solution, retailers, brokers, wholesalers and financial service providers can build their own custom insurance products for digital channels.

Clients also gain access to digital policy and claims life-cycle management tools, a complete customer service interface, broker team management, and customised distribution, among others. Policies can be integrated with post-sale emails, e-commerce carts and referral links.

Greenlight Re CEO Simon Burton said, “We are pleased to be partnering with Click2sure and support Daniel and Jacques as they develop new ways for companies to engage and provide value to their customers. The Click2sure platform enables a radical transformation of the customer experience and a cost-effective way to deliver insurance products to under-served marketplaces.”

This is the third investment from Greenlight, which launched earlier in the year to back technology opportunities across the insurance space. Its current portfolio includes Hong Kong-based insurance and reinsurance platform for emerging markets Galileo Platforms and Austin-based third-party administrator for the self-insured health market Sana Benefits.

There have been a couple of South Africa-based FinTechs to raise capital over the past year. Fellow InsurTech startup Simply allegedly bagged an investment from Yellowwoods earlier in the week. The company offers consumers in South Africa with access to family, domestic and group life insurance products.
