Menlo Security bags $75m in Series D round

Cloud security platform Menlo Security has raised $75m in its Series D funding round.

The company will use the new funding to expand its global sales team, Menlo Security confirmed in an official statement.

The round was led by clients advised by JP Morgan Asset Management, with participation from previous investors such as General Catalyst, Sutter Hill Ventures, Osage University Partners, American Express Ventures, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase and Engineering Capital.

Menlo Security’s Isolation Platform isolates and executes all web content, email links and documents in the cloud, then streaming a malware-free version of the content to employees’ computers via its Adaptive Clientless Rendering (ACR) technology.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Menlo is trusted by major global businesses, including Fortune 500 companies and financial services institutions.

“Menlo Security’s global cloud is protecting millions of end users, isolating over 500 million websites per day,” said Menlo Security CEO Amir Ben-Efraim.

“While our customers have deployed the most advanced security products, we see a constant stream of phishing and malware attacks evading their defenses. Menlo Security stops these attacks, validating Internet Isolation as being essential to modern security architectures.”

In December 2017, Menlo closed a $40m Series C funding round joined by investors American Express Ventures, Ericsson Ventures and HSBC.
