Habito is keeping silent about its £5m investment from Augmentum Fintech

The UK online mortgage broker Habito has received a £5m money injection from Augmentum Fintech, the FinTech-focused venture capital firm.

However, Habito is refusing not giving away any more details. While the scaleup founded in 2015 has confirmed to FinTech Global that it has received the investment, it did not answer any questions about it being part of a bigger round and what the money will be used for.

Comparatively, the digital mortgage broker was more forthcoming in 2017 when it raised its $18.5m Series B round. That round was led by Skype and Atomico, the VC firm, founder Niclas Zennström.

Augmentum Fintech recently chipped in on small business lender iwoca’s £150m Series D round in February 2019. The investor has also invested in ventures like banking company Tide, identity verification scaleup Onfido and online banking business Monese. The VC firm is based in London.
