Bought by Many partners with FirstVet to improve policyholder and vet communications

Online insurance support platform Bought by Many has reportedly partnered with FirstVet to give pet insurance holders free video consultations.

The deal will enable Bought by Many insurance policyholders to make use of the FirstVet video calling app, according to a number of reports in the media. The service connects pet owners with UK-based vets to check an animal’s symptoms and receive any advice on treatments.

The service will be free-to-use for Bought by Many users and can be used whenever.

Bought by Many is a free, members service which helps connect people with others to discuss policies and generate insights in the space. The service enables users to connect with groups filled with people of similar needs, negotiate deals with insurers and find discounts.

Additionally, the platform offers pet insurance products which can cover a pet for life from accidents and can cover up to £7,000 in vet fees.

Last year, Bought by Many raised £15m in a Series B round which was backed by CommerzVentures, Marsh, Munich Re/HSB Ventures, Octopus Ventures.
