Viva Republica hits $2.2bn valuation after closing a $64m Series F round

The South Korean developer of mobile finance platform toss has closed a $64m Series F round. This brings Viva Republica’s valuation past the $2.2bn valuation mark.

Aspex Management, the equity investment firm, led the round. Several existing investors joined the round too. For instance, Californian venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins contributed to Viva Republica’s Series E investment in December in 2018. Similarly, VC firms Goodwater Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners have also invested in Viva Republica in the past.

Speaking with The Investor, a publication, Lee Seunggun, founder and CEO of Viva Republica, said, “We are truly pleased that Toss has gained further momentum to embark upon the next phase of its journey. Our mission is to provide the best possible financial service experience to users, and we will continue to do our best for Toss to become the only service needed for users’ safe and easy day-to-day financial lives.”
