European Women Payments Network joins Findec in new partnership to boost Swedish FinTech scene

The Swedish FinTech scene may be in for a power boost as the European Women Payments Network (EWPN) has entered a partnership with Findec, the Swedish FinTech hub.

As part of the deal, Findec, which is an abbreviation of “FinTech / Decentralised”, will benefit from access to a wealth of contacts and business experience from within the EWPN community.

In return, Findec will introduce the EWPN community to the Swedish FinTech ecosystem.

Mats Holmfeldt, co-founder and chairman of Findec, commented, “This partnership is an exciting opportunity for both EWPN and Findec, allowing us to build awareness of each other’s organizations to share mutual benefits between our communities as well as across the FinTech industry more widely. We are excited to see our members and the Swedish FinTech ecosystem grow through this new partnership.”

Martha Mghendi-Fisher, founder of EWPN, expressed similar levels of excitement. “EWPN is dedicated to building a network of collaboration and communication, helping our members to learn, grow and give back to the payments, banking and FinTech industries and improving inclusion and equality,” she said.

“As an organization specifically supporting startups and entrepreneurs in FinTech, Findec shares many of our ambitions and values so the collaboration makes a lot of sense. We hope to replicate this relationship with other organisations in other regions in the future to further enhance communication and mutual benefits across our industry.”
