Cashless donations platform goodbox surpasses £1m crowdfund target

Cashless donation technology developer goodbox has hit its £1m crowdfunding target, which it is raising on the Seedrs platform.

While the company has reached its target, it is still accepting contributions. So far, the company has received contributions from around 377 individual investors, with 5.15% of its equity being handed out to these backers.

The FinTech launched the crowdfund at a pre-money valuation of £18.8m.

goodbox, which is based in Manchester, United Kingdom has built a selection of point-of-sale terminals which enable charities and non-profit organizations to accept cashless payments. There are four separate solutions available, a handheld payment terminal, a counter-based desktop, a payment booth and a donation plate which comes with a contactless payment centre.

To date, the company has served more than 600 charities and helps process more than £2m in donations.

Over the course of the next year, the FinTech is looking to expand its portal with new fundraising tools. It will also look at expanding internationally.
