Shopify is diversifying its e-commerce offering with the new email product

E-commerce unicorn Shopify is tapping into another vertical with its new product Shopify Email.

According to the company’s chief product office Craig Miller, who was talking to TechCrunch, this is “the first email product designed for e-commerce.”

The new product will be integrated with a merchant’s store on Shopify, which will enable them to pull their assets and brands into their emails. Importantly, this will also enable them to see whether or not those emails actually lead to customers adding products to their carts.

At the moment it is still only available through an early access test, but Shopify has announced plans to roll it out in 2020.
