Customers can now use voice commands to find insurance on Samsung devices

Online life insurance broker Quotacy has joined Samsung’s Bixby Marketplace as a developer partner.

Through this deal, consumers will be capable of using voice commands to shop for life insurance on their Samsung devices.

Bixby is Samsung’s virtual assistant which is installed on their devices. Users will now be able to say, “Hi Bixby, ask Quotacy for life insurance quotes” and the phone will open Quotacy and begin the process of getting quotes.

Quotacy senior information architect Chris Woolcott said, “Voice AI and natural language are the future of communication between consumers and services. To have the opportunity to partner with Samsung’s Bixby Marketplace is really amazing. I’m proud to be part of a team that works hard to see emerging technology become a reality.”

Samsung has made a handful of FinTech partnerships this year. The electronics company recently teamed up with Klarna. The deal provides its customers with the ability to buy the new Galaxy S10 across 24 monthly instalments through Klarna’s Spread the Cost offering.

The electronics company also partnered with Finablr to boost its international money transfer services on Samsung Pay.
