Open Systems acquires Sqooba to boost its data analytics services

Open Systems, a secure access service, has acquired Sqooba for an undisclosed amount.

Switzerland-based Sqooba leverages AI and machine learning technology to give businesses real-time visibility across the enterprise operations and business applications.

The company’s technology lets network and security companies to improve operations, retailers to improve customer experiences and energy businesses to ease data collection from wind turbines to improve asset management.

Through this acquisition, Open Systems is hoping to extend its capabilities and bolster its big data analytics.

Open Systems secure access service edge (SASE) which empowers organizations to connect to the cloud. Financial services use the technology to protect themselves from cyberattacks and critical incidents.

Open Systems CEO Jeff Brown said, “Sqooba’s extensive analytics capability is a natural addition to the broad network and security components of our SASE platform and will help us deliver business-critical insights to our customers. Acquiring Sqooba accelerates the 20-year lead we have over our competitors in developing our platform’s managed SD-WAN and security as a service.

“The combination of our managed network and security solution with Sqooba’s analytics expertise will enable enterprises to gain real-time visibility into network and application performance, laying the foundation for a transition to a full SASE architecture.”

Following the close of the deal, Sqooba CEO Daniel Neuhaus will remain in his role and the company will operate as a subsidiary of Open Systems.
