Crypto API developer Zabo bags $2.5m in seed round

Cryptocurrency wallet API Zabo has bagged $2.5m in its seed round as it looks to increase the team size and number of partners.

The round was led by Moonshots Capital, with contributions also coming from Blockchange Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, Digital Currency Group, CoinShares, Tezos Foundation, Capital Factory and others.

With the fresh equity, the company hopes to hire more staff and will add more partners to its API platform to enable users’ wider access to their cryptocurrency. Additionally, the company will look to increase its customer support.

The FinTech launched in 2019 with the goal to “tackle one of the most critical, missing pieces of infrastructure.” It claims this is an API to connect the fragmented and covolving landscape of cryptocurrency accounts, wallets and protocols.

Zabo enables consumers to connect any cryptocurrency wallet to any application with just a few lines of code. Companies can easily implement tools to support trading and wallets, which can be used for financial tracking, investing, crypto taxes, digital banking and lending.
