Lykke receives investment from Hanwha Systems

Lykke, a Switzerland-based cryptocurrency exchange, has received an investment from South Korea’s Hanwha Systems, a technology solution developer.

The value of the strategic investment was not disclosed, but the proceeds will be used to support the growth of the company.

Founded in 2015, Lykke is a blockchain-based commission free exchange for digitised assets. Its platform supports a variety of cryptocurrencies, 21 fiat currencies, commodities and unique instruments. The solution offer immediate settlement and direct ownership of trades.

Lykke CEO Richard Olsen said, “A young company like Lykke operating out of Switzerland needs a partner in Asia, who has built a strong team and a reputation committed for perseverance and quality. We have now worked with Hanwha for more than a year. We are thrilled to partner with Hanwha, they are a perfect match!”

In 2018, Lykke released Blockchain Valley Ventures, an accelerator and investment firm aimed at supporting blockchain companies.
