InsurTech platform Zego has extended its partnership with RSA Insurance to offer adaptable protection for van fleets.
Zego is not providing usage-based policies for the delivery, courier and trade van fleets of 20 to 200 vehicles in the UK.
A van fleet owner will only need to pay a base subscription rate for the vehicles which are not out on the road. If they experience a sudden surge in demand, costs are capped so they will never pay more than the agreed limit. This method keeps insurance costs in line with workload and revenue.
Founded in 2016, Zego is an online insurance solution which covers UK delivery and ride-hailing workforce. The InsurTech offers a selection of B2B insurance products for fleet businesses and mobility services.
Zego director of enterprise Gianluca Uberti said, “We have been working in partnership with RSA to deliver flexible policies for individual drivers for the past few years and I am thrilled that we’ve been able to build on this partnership to provide cover for van fleets.
“From today, we’ll be able to offer van fleet owners access to a unique insurance product, which provides them with truly flexible, usage based insurance, at a fair price.“
RSA is a London-headquartered insurance company which provides policies and services to more than 140 countries.
RSA partnership director John Dawe said, “We are excited to be expanding our existing Partnership with Zego, combining RSA’s dedicated expertise in Delegated Authorities with Zego’s passion for creating flexible insurance solutions for customers. We look forward to working with Zego to launch this and other products in the immediate and longer term future.”
Earlier in the year, the InsurTech revealed it would offer customers who have been forced to self-isolate due to coronavirus with up to 14 days of free cover
