From: RegTech Analyst

US cybersecurity company Cygilant is opening a new office in Northern Ireland, which could create 65 new jobs.

Belfast Live reported that the digital defence firm is  going to provide it cybersecurity services to about 200 customers.

Minister for the Economy Diane Dodds ted Belfast Live that she was happy to welcome more cybersecurity jobs in Northern Ireland during these challenging times.

Cybersecurity companies’ fundraising activity was the main driver behind the strong investment levels recorded in the RegTech industry globally the first quarter of 2020, according to RegTech Analyst’s research.

As reported previously it seems the coronavirus pandemic had little impact on investors’ appetite in the RegTech market as funding reached nearly $2.4bn in the first three months of 2020, a 3.8x increase compared to the same period last year.
