Genmega unveils new ATM solution to slash the risk of being infected by Covid-19

As more consumers opt for cashless options to avoid catching the coronavirus, ATM manufacturer Genmega has revealed a new solution to make using its devices safer.

The solution uses UV light ten seconds after the last user used the keypad to disinfect the surface, thus reducing the risk of spreading the disease.

“From the moment we realised the magnitude of the crisis facing the industry, Genmega worked tirelessly to create a solution that would reassure consumers of the safety of ATMs and kiosks,” said Wes Dunn, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Genmega. “We did the research, worked with various agencies to ensure effectiveness as well as consumer safety, and created a cost-effective product that will benefit the industry for years to come.”

The solution will be launched later this autumn.
