Authomize closes its seed round as it launches new product

Authomize, a cloud-based authorisation management platform, has closed its seed round, in tandem with the launch of its new automated solution.

The company has released its Automated Authorization Governance and Management solution, enabling organisations to simplify the management and security of complex applications both cloud-based and on-premise.

The systems acts as a bridge between IT Ops and security teams. The system prevents permission sprawl and ensures a company meets security and compliance standards.

In addition to the product launch, the cybersecurity company has bagged $6m in its seed round, with Blumberg Capital, M12 Microsoft’s venture fund and Entrée Capital supplying the capital.

Authomize aims to give companies a holistic view of authorisation across applications and grant granular visibility with prescriptive and corrective suggestions to enable organisations to make better automated actions.

The company also offers a solution called “SmartGroups”, which aggregates data in real-time from multiple enterprise IT systems and infers the correct permissions.

Blumberg Capital managing director Yodfat Harel Buchris said, “Many companies are in the dark about how to effectively manage authorizations.

“It can become impossible to manage and secure authorizations and identities, especially in today’s workplace, with record numbers of employees working outside the perimeter. Authomize addresses this pain point with an innovative approach, enabling companies to keep growing and adapting to the rapidly changing norm without the security and operational risks.”
