PropTech platform EasyKnock closes $5m Series B round

EasyKnock, an institutionalised residential sale-leaseback company, has scored $5m in its Series B from Viola FinTech.

The PropTech supplies homeowners to access value in their home by selling the home without having to move out. The MoveAbility solution is aimed at those looking to move home in the near future, letting them sell without rushing the move. Its services are available in all 50 US states.

There is also the Sell & Stay service, which lets homeowners sell their house and EasyKnock will lease it back to them. The seller can repurchase the home at any time.

Viola FinTech general partner Tomer Michaeli said, ?One of the greatest promises of PropTech is that it enables not only digital transformation of the real estate transaction but more importantly liquidity in a very illiquid sector.

?EasyKnock provides exactly these two benefits, enabling cash strapped consumers to unlock the cash from their most valuable asset – their home, thus providing them an essential financial flexibility, which is critical especially in this time of unprecedented uncertainty.p>

With the close of the round, EasyKnock has raised a total of $25m in funding.

Viola claims it is actively seeking PropTech investments due to the impact on digital transformation of real estate transactions.

The investor launched its maiden FinTech fund in 2017 with a capital pool of $100m.

Other recent investments from Viola include support to the $13m Series A of claims management solution omni:us and the $16m round of underwriting insight solution Planck.
