Verisk acquires Medicare service provider Franco Signor in a $160m deal

Data analytics service provider Verisk has acquired Franco Signor, a Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) service provider, in a deal worth $160m.

This deal will see Franco Signor become a part of Verisk’s Claims Partners business, a compliance and analytic claims service. By joining forces, the companies aim to offer improved Medicare compliance.

Verisk president of claims Richard Della Rocca said, “The complexities of Medicare compliance obligations are extremely challenging.

“With the addition of Franco Signor to the Claims Partners team, we can offer the insight and experience of the country’s top MSP experts under one roof for the benefit of the entire industry and look forward to providing the very best experience and service for our customers.”

The combined tools suite will offer automated conditional payment processing, professional administration, reporting compliance support, analytics, liability claims and more.

Last year, Verisk acquired life insurance software developer FAST in a deal worth $193.5m. FAST, which stands for “Flexible Architecture, Simplified Technology,” provides a SaaS suite of out-of-the-box components that life insurers can use to quickly enhance or replace their legacy policy administration systems.
