Indonesia’s bookkeeping platform BukuWarung said to close funding round

BukuWarung, an Indonesia-based bookkeeping platform, has reportedly raised a funding round between $10m and $15m.

The round was supported by partners of DST Global, Soma Capital and 20VC, according to a report from TechCrunch. There were also several high-profile angel investors taking part in the round, including Plaid co-founder William Hockey, Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen, former Uber chief product officer Manik Gupta and more.

With the close of the round, the company will enable BukuWarung to hire more staff for its technology team.

BukuWarung, which is available on iOS and Androids, provides businesses with a mobile app for their recordkeeping and bookkeeping. Companies can use it to track all customer income, expenses and accounts payable and calculate turnover.

Other tools include text message-based bills, daily, weekly and monthly reports, and accounts payable records.

Last month, fellow Indonesian FinTech platform BukuKas closed its Series A round on $9m from backers including Sequoia Capital India, Saison Capital, Speedinvest, S7V, January Capital and Cambium Grove Capital.

BukuKas provides micro and small-businesses with a cloud accounting solution. Clients can access digital bookkeeping to record sales, expense and cash transactions through their mobile phone.
