MirrorWeb secures £2m investment from private equity firm

Web archiving and monitoring solution MirrorWeb has completed a £2m investment from UK private equity firm Maven Capital Partners.

Based in Manchester, MirrorWeb offers a cloud-based SaaS platform that enables businesses to archive website and social media communications. This not only gives them complete ownership of their “digital truth”, but it also helps them meet compliance with a selection of regulations.

Its technology cane be used to meet compliance with FCA, FINRA, SEC and MiFID II requirements. The platform also enables firms to drive down resource costs by removing manual processes whilst keeping compliant record retention.

With the fresh equity injection, the RegTech hopes to support the growth of its business across the UK and US.

MirrorWeb CEO David Clee said, “MirrorWeb is entering a very exciting stage in terms of growth and ambition. Over the past two years, we’ve made huge leaps in our mission to be the leaders in web-based archiving and this milestone is central in supporting the next phase of our journey.

“Despite the challenging conditions of the ongoing pandemic, MirrorWeb has been able to reach new strengths, leveraging AWS technology to deliver archiving solutions in a way that customers have never seen before. This investment secures the next stage of our evolution and the team is truly proud of what we’ve achieved and where our vision will take us.”

Earlier in the year, MirrorWeb was named in the new Microsoft ScaleUp programme.
