Scanbot launches new Web SDK Scanner tool

Scanbot has launched a new Web SDK Scanner solution which will enable insurance companies to add a scanning service to their websites.

The InsurTech has decided to build the new solution through WebAssembly technologies to offer high-quality document scanning capabilities for all standard web browsers.

Developers can integrate the new tool within a few business days and enable their clients to submit documents digitally and in real-time without needing to download an app.

Clients can open the Web SDK scanning tool on any mobile device with a camera and hold the phone above the document. Guidance will be given to ensure all users, regardless of technology know-how, will be able to successfully scan the documents.

The WEB SDK tool also has an automatic cropping function that provides a company’s backend with the ability to process a document instantly and without adjustments.

Two of the key differentiators of this solution, compared with others, is that no user account is required and when a third-party or an agent is needed to submit information, such as a claims process, they can be easily added through a unique link.

The second unique aspect is that no app is required by customers to use this service.

Earlier in the monthScanbot CEO Christoph Wagner commented on who will be the long-term and short-term winners in insurance during the pandemic.
