Investment platform CAIS secures $50m in its Series B round

Alternative investment platform CAIS has closed its Series B round on $50m, to capitalise on a strong year of growth.

The capital injection was supplied by Eldridge, a holding company with a network of businesses in finance, entertainment, technology and real estate.

CAIS is a digital platform that enables financial advisors to access alternative investments. Users can access a range of investment opportunities including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes.

This investment comes after a strong year of growth for the FinTech. CAIS oversees a total of $1.2trn in assets.

CAIS founder and CEO Matt Brown said, “This is a great time for CAIS to take in growth capital and we are honoured to have Eldridge as our new shareholder and partner. CAIS has opened access to alternative investments for independent financial advisors everywhere.

“With the continued growth of the independent wealth management community, coupled with their increased adoption of alternative investments, this is the ideal time for CAIS to deepen our commitment to providing the best tools and solutions.”

As part of the deal, Eldridge co-founder and CEO Todd Boehly will join the CAIS board of directors.
