Floww nets $6.7m in seed funding

Data-driven investor marketplace Floww has raised $6.7m in a seed funding round led by angel investors and friends.

The company connects potential investors with startups based on merit, clean data and transparency, aiming to replace old school introductions that may be weighted down with both racial and cultural bias.

The company is founded by venture capital firm Force Over Mass’ CEO and founder Martijn De Wever, Territory Studio’s co-founder Lee Fasciani and FinTech veteran Alex Pilsworth.

“In an age of virtual meetings and connections, the need for coffee meetings on Sand Hill Road or Mayfair is gone,” De Wever said in a statement seen by TechCrunch. “What we need now are global connections, allowing VCs to engage in merit-based investing using data and metrics.”
