Paysend enters into global partnership with Mastercard to boost cross border payments

FinTech firm Paysend teamed up with Mastercard to boost its global market reach and enhance its customer base.

Through the strategic partnership, Paysend aims to boost the potential of its global account, combining its Global Transfer feature with its account/product services.

Furthermore, the partnership with Mastercard will give Paysend a platform for escalating its international expansion, therefore increasing the capacity for inter-regional payment transactions.

Commenting on this association, co-founder and CEO of Paysend Ronald Millar said, “Our partnership with Mastercard will bring even more freedom to Paysend customers who want to hold, spend and send their money on a global scale. We will be working with Mastercard on collaborations programmes to bring the benefits of our multi-currency service to more people around the world, so they can spend freely and flexibly on their travels.”

Founded in 2017, Paysend enables cross-border transfers, card processing as well as local payments in 45 to over 80 countries. The company boasts of partnerships with the major international card networks including Visa, Mastercard and China Union Pay as a certified processor. It also claimed that it reached the milestone of three million customers for its Global Transfer service in January 2021.
