Paymynt Financial unveils new blockchain-based multicurrency smart card

Boston-based FinTech company Paymynt Financial said to launch MYNT PayCard, a multicurrency hardware wallet.

Using microchip technology, the MYNT Card is a reloadable smart card that allows users to store and spend multiple currencies.

Launching later this year, the MYNT PayCard is both a cryptocurrency wallet and a payment card. Using blockchain technology, Paymynt members will be able to reload, send and receive multiple cryptocurrencies.

Commenting on the need for a smart card, CEO of Paymynt Michael Rosa said that blockchain technology and digital currencies will be the future of financial technology. He added, “Chip-to-Chain technology brings bankless, blockchain services to global audiences.

“This is especially important for the underserved communities, who are unable to access traditional financial services due to excessive fees or minimal credit history.”

Founded in 2018, Paymynt Financial is a mobile commerce and finance company that integrates online shopping, digital banking, cryptocurrencies and peer-to-peer payments into its all-in-one platform.
