Akur8 forms multi-year deal with Generali France

InsurTech100 company Akur8 has formed another partnership this year, signing a multi-year deal to help boost Generali France’s pricing capabilities.

The companies have been working together since last year. Akur8’s transparent AI-powered solution is being implemented with Generali to improve the rate-making capabilities in France.

Generali will benefit from a reduced time-to-market and the ability to offer targeted and personalised prices to customers.

The Akur8 platform is designed to enhance insurers’ pricing processes through automated risk and demand modelling. Its transparent AI ensures insures can accelerate time-to-market, improve predictive power, whilst maintaining control and transparency on models.

Akur8 CEO Samuel Falmagne said, “Akur8 is thrilled to enter in a partnership with Generali, to empower them with a state-of-the-art risk modelling solution. Partnering with a global insurance leader such as Generali is a very important step for us, a pivotal point in our development trajectory.

“This partnership emphasizes the pioneer and forerunner spirit the Generali teams demonstrate, and we hope it will pave the way for further fruitful partnerships within the Generali Group.”

Generali France actuarial studies manager Eyrich Samba said, “Akur8’s value very quickly came to light. Modeling speed is 5x faster, while keeping a thoroughly transparent and auditable process. The user-friendliness of the interface and the collaborative aspect of it are a great asset for the team, making it very easy-to-use, while enhancing internal communication. The responsiveness of the Akur8 team also was instrumental in our very fast learning curve.”

The InsurTech recently formed an agreement with AXA Spain, marking its first deal in the country.
