Crush Capital secures $2.75m in funding to support launch of new streaming service

Crush Capital, which hopes to democratise access to investment opportunities, has scored $2.75m in its fresh funding round, to support its new upcoming streaming series.

The funds from the round will be used to support the development of its “Going Public” streaming series.

Funds from the round will also be used to bring IPO and pre-IPO investing to retail investors.

The capital injection was supplied by AYA Capital, Zilliqa Capital and Terraform Capital.

Going Public will explore the journeys of company founders and how they raised capital from big-name investors and their quest to IPOs.  The ten episode series will be hosted by Lauren Simmons, the youngest-ever female trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and only the 2nd Black female to have ever held the position.

Crush Capital senior investment advisor Aaron Wolko said, “There has never been a better time to debut a series like ‘Going Public.’ Retail investors around the world demand and deserve exposure to private companies. As a result, we’re seeing strong institutional and VC interest in Crush Capital’s paradigm-shifting approach to retail investing.”

The FinTech company’s seed round closed on $3.2m back in February 2021. The capital was supplied by 30 investors, including Backstage Capital managing partner Arlan Hamilton, Tory Burch co-founder Chris Burch and Acorns co-founder and chairman Walter Cruttenden.
