Aurelia collects $3m in its seed round

Aurelia, which helps automate financial management, has reportedly collected $3m in its seed round.

The investment was led by Blossom Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, according to a report from TechCrunch.

Several angel investors also committed capital to the round, including Checkout.com founder and CEO Guillaume Pousaz and GoCardless CRO Erez Mathan.

Aurelia helps small businesses improve the management of their finances. Clients choose from a selection of plugins, which can help with taxes, getting paid faster, money tracking and building flows.

Its website claims to help companies et up-to-date information on their finances, regardless of the bank or invoice software being used.

Blossom Capital founder Ophelia Brown told TechCrunch, “As a small business owner ourselves, we know first-hand how painful and broken it is for SMEs to manage their finances and accounts. After searching for years for the right solution, we committed to Aurelia on the spot.”
