Swedish FinTech company AnyFin raises funding to support European growth

Stockholm-based credit refinancing company AnyFin has secured a $10m investment from Augmentum Fintech.

The funds from the round will be used to expand into other European countries and build new products. Its services are currently available in Sweden, Finland and Germany.

Founded in 2017 by former executives of Klarna, Spotify and iZettle, the company helps consumers get lower interest rates on their loans. Its technology helps creditworthy consumers to consolidate and refinance existing credit agreements with better interest rates.

This investment comes a year after AnyFin raised $30m in its Series B round. The round was led by EQT, with commitments also coming from Accel, Northzone and Global Founders Capital.

AnyFin recently came under fire from the Swedish Consumer Agency after two new commercials allegedly broke the law. The regulator said the commercials breached legislation stipulating companies need to show moderation.

Augmentum Fintech recently joined the $25m Series A funding round of Tesseract. The company provides digital asset lending solutions to institutional clients, including hedge funds and retail trading platforms.

Earlier in the year, fellow Swedish company Insurello raised $17.5m in a funding round. The company helps consumers find the best insurance cover.
