Israel-based CyberTech Cynamics nets $7m in funding

Israel-based Cynamics, which has created an AI-powered network detection and response service, secured $7m in fresh funding.

The round was led by Checkpoint Software Technologies co-founder Marius Nacht, with commitments also coming from Colibri Technologies and Fantail Ventures.

Cynamics is currently in the process of establishing a new headquarters in Boston, which will be the base for its expansion in the US and support its current 80 North American clients.

The company hopes to reach the 30 million SMBs in the US. Its clients include hospitals, local authorities, security agencies, public safety agencies and more.

Cynamics claims to have built the world’s first cybersecurity solution that creates small network samples from the main network gateways. It then leverages AI technology to understand how the network works and predict attacks and threats before they occur.

Cynamics co-founder and CEO Eyal Elyashiv said, “Changing trends in networking architectures and the impact of the pandemic make networking infrastructures into complex, distributed topologies, which challenge network detection and response.

“As a result, CISOs are forced to compromise and monitor only a limited part of the network. This creates blind spots that result in security breaches. Cynamics offers a new paradigm that provides full network coverage based on analysing only 1% of traffic and the ability to detect attacks and threats with highest possible precision. Moreover, our solution predicts threats minutes before existing tools can – a critical time frame that can be the difference between smooth remediation and millions of dollars in recovery.”
