BearingPoint RegTech starts journey of independence with rebrand

BearingPoint RegTech has rebranded itself as Regnology, as it starts its journey as an operational independent company.

Regnology, which is named after its core business focus on regulatory technology, was previously a part of the BearingPoint Group but was sold to private equity firm Nordic Capital at the end of 2020. Since then, Regnology is operationally independent.

The RegTech company recently joined forces with Vizor Software, a RegTech and supervisory technology developer based in Ireland. This combined company now offers regulatory, risk and supervisory technology to clients around the world, including AEOI and tax reporting, and regulatory reporting services.

Regnology CEO Jürgen Lux (right in image) said, “Today marks an important milestone for our company. We are completing the separation from the BearingPoint Group and laying the foundation for a new chapter in our joint success story with Vizor Software.

“The new name Regnology represents both the past and the future. I am very excited to be working with Vizor as Regnology towards our shared objective: Providing a global platform connecting regulators and the industry to create a strong, stable, transparent, and sustainable financial world.”

Also speaking on the deal, Conor Crowley, CEO at Vizor and head of SupTech at Regnology (left in image), said, “We are proud of the new brand and very much look forward to transforming the industry with innovative RegTech, SupTech and tax reporting solutions as Regnology. Together, we will drive our strategy for continued, sustainable growth.”

Regnology claims to serve over 7,000 financial services firms with reporting solutions and enables more than 50 regulators and tax authorities on five continents to collect data from 34,000 firms in 60 countries.
