Data privacy as API solution Skyflow collects funding

Customer data privacy company Skyflow has collected $45m in Series B funding, which was led by New York-based private equity firm Insight Partners.

The round was also supported by unnamed strategic investors focused on FinTech. Other commitments came from Mouro Capital, MS&AD Ventures, Canvas Ventures and Foundation Capital, as well as several angel investors.

Skyflow plans to use the funds to bolster its sales, marketing and engineering teams, with it hoping to hire 100 employees by the end of 2022.

The RegTech company claims to simplify how companies manage, access and govern sensitive customer data. Its cero-trust data vault and APIs enables teams to build applications without the worry of data security, privacy or compliance.

Skyflow co-founder and CEO Anshu Sharma said, “Skyflow started with a very simple question: What if privacy had an API?”.

“The market is flooded with tools that offer a piecemeal approach to security, compliance, and privacy. The fastest growing companies neither have the time nor the desire to buy and integrate point solutions. Skyflow offers a radically simple solution to a complex set of interconnected problems.”

The RegTech company has raised over $70m in equity over the past 18 months.
