Freetrade, the investment platform that is on a mission to get everyone investing, officially launched its seventh public crowdfunding round today.
Freetrade’s latest pre-money valuation is £650m, which represents a 138% growth since March 2021.
Freetrade announced the launch of the crowdfund earlier this month. The round will be raised at a share price of £924.99, an increase of 138% since the company last raised money in its Series B in March 2021.
Launched in 2018, Freetrade is an investment platform that strives to “get everyone investing” by offering low-cost investing. The company said the crowdfunding has fuelled its growth and has given it a dedicated community of over 13,000 investors.
Since Freetrade’s last crowdfunding round in May 2020, total registered users on the platform have increased from approximately 150,000 to over 1.1 million (as of November 2021), representing a nearly 600% increase in 18 months. Client assets now exceed £1bn.
Adam Dodds, founder and CEO of Freetrade, said “This crowdfunding round represents a significant milestone for Freetrade. We’ve built a passionate community of shareholders through six previous rounds, and we’re proud to be able to open up a new round today. As we move into Europe and beyond, we’re committed to keeping our community involved every step of the way.”
