Gild and Coterie join forces for small business insurance

Gild Insurance, a digital independent insurance agency serving the business insurance property and casualty (P&C) market, has partnered with Coterie Insurance to add their small business insurance offerings to its portfolio.

The companies, according to Coterie Insurance, have a shared goal of expanding access to small business insurance and quickly insuring entrepreneurs and business owners, achieved through strategic partnerships.

Gild Insurance Agency describes itself as a digital insurance agency specifically designed for microbusinesses, freelancers, and solopreneurs.

Solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners can now get Coterie’s general liability insurance, business owners policy and professional liability policies when Gild Insurance’s algorithmic end-to-end risk assessment analysis finds a Coterie policy to be the best fit.

Coterie said that the way business owners find insurance has drastically shifted with the emergence and growth of InsurTech. In the old model of insurance shopping, the process could take weeks before the insurance was effective. With the new technology implemented by Coterie Insurance and Gild, the process can now be done in just minutes.

Christina Lehman, director of digital experience at Coterie Insurance, said, “Gild Insurance shares a passion for simplifying small business with Coterie, and we’re thrilled to combine forces.

“Together, we’re serving the often-overlooked small business segment by providing fast and easy small business insurance solutions.”
